FONTANA, CA – A semi-truck transporting Pepsi products veered out of its lane on the northbound side of the 15 Freeway, went over the k-rail, and flipped over. According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at around 11:00 a.m., at the Cherry Avenue exit in Fontana.
The driver was badly injured in the crash and was trapped in the cab for some time as emergency responders worked to free him. According to NBC LA, a helicopter landed on the lanes of the highway and airlifted him to a nearby hospital for treatment.
