(COSTA MESA, January 2020) — Around 6:50 AM on Thursday morning, a police officer was responding to a call at the intersection of Baker Street and Fairview Road. When the officer was approaching the intersection, their car was hit by an oncoming sedan.
Both the officer and the driver of the sedan were taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The accident is currently under investigation.
