(HOLLYWOOD, January 2020) — The woman tragically killed in a road rage incident in Hollywood has now been identified. Authorities say 27-year-old Sophia Ardalan was the one killed in the accident.
Around 11:50 PM on Monday evening, two women in a gray Mercedes-Benz struck a motorcycle on the 1300 block of Martel Avenue. The driver of the Mercedes did not stop and instead continued driving, and the motorcyclist followed them. Both the driver and the passenger of the Mercedes and the motorcyclist got out of the car and began arguing.
The passenger got back into the car when it began to move forward. The driver, Ardalan, tried to get into the driver’s side of the moving vehicle when she was trapped underneath the Mercedes, which then crashed into a tree. She died of her injuries.
Her friend, passenger Samantha Cuhan, fled the scene on foot but has since been arrested.
