SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO (MARCH 2020) — A woman was struck and killed by a semi truck on the shoulder of I-5 early in the morning on February 29th. The San Diego Union-Tribune reports that she was pronounced dead at the hospital at about 3:30 a.m. The mile marker and direction of the accident have yet to be shared. It appears the woman exited her vehicle after having pulled over, but her reason for stopping is unclear as of now. No other injuries are reported.
