Freeway Service Patrol Vehicle Catches Fire

SANTA CLARITA, CA – The California Highway Patrol reports that a driver for the California Freeway Service Patrol (FSP) crashed their vehicle on SR 14 South. The accident occurred at 12:17 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28.

After the crash, the FSP vehicle caught fire, and police officers called the Los Angeles County Fire Department to assist at the scene. The FSP driver escaped the flaming vehicle, but police officers believe the driver sustained some injuries from the crash and fire. The fire is contained in the vehicle at this time, but police officers are concerned it may spread to the hillside next to the road.
