LONG BEACH, CA – A car hit and killed a pedestrian on the 405 Freeway near Beach Boulevard. The Long Beach Post reports that the accident occurred at 10:35 p.m. on Thursday, April 30. The driver who caused the accident did not remain at the scene, but a witness saw the vehicle hit the pedestrian.
California Highway Patrol officers pronounced the pedestrian dead on the scene. Officers closed the southbound lanes on the freeway during their investigation into the accident. There is no information about the pedestrian or the driver available at this time.
