NORWALK, CA – On Wednesday morning a motorcyclist died in a three-vehicle crash on the 605 Freeway.
CBS Los Angeles reports that a motorcycle crashed into the back of a car on the 605 Freeway near Alondra Boulevard. The incident occurred around 5:00 a.m. on May 13.
The force of the collision caused the car to roll over onto its roof. The car also ran into a second vehicle, which crashed into a concrete highway divider.
A police officer on the scene reported that the motorcyclist flew off of the bike in the collision. The officer found the motorcyclist’s body lodged in the overturned car and pronounced the rider dead on the scene. At this time, there is no identifying information about the motorcyclist.
The wreckage from the accident blocked the left lane and the carpool lane on the freeway. Officials were able to reopen these lanes at 8:30 a.m.
