BELLFLOWER, CA – Two vehicles collided on Tuesday morning while driving on Freeway 91, killing two people in the crash.
The incident involved a Caltrans truck and another vehicle that were driving on Freeway 91 near Downey Avenue. The California Highway Patrol reports that at approximately 10 a.m. on May 12 the two vehicles crashed on the freeway.
An officer from the Los Angeles County Fire Department pronounced one of the drivers dead on the scene of the accident.
The second driver was rushed to a local hospital for treatment of critical injuries. However, the driver died while en-route in the ambulance.
The California Highway Patrol is uncertain what caused the accident, at this time. They are conducting an ongoing investigation into the incident.
