LANCASTER, CA – A 50-year-old pedestrian was killed on Saturday night in a hit-and-run accident that took place near Avenue L and Challenger way.
According to NBC 4, a man reported seeing the woman’s body lying in the road at approximately 7:20 p.m. on May 9. The witness also reported an abandoned car with damage to the front bumper down the street from the woman.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s department arrived on the scene and pronounced the pedestrian dead on the scene of the accident. They also located a blue Nissan which may have been involved in the accident.
The police are attempting to contact the car’s owner for more information about the accident.
