CITY OF INDUSTRY, CA – According to CBSLA, a car veered off the southbound lane of the 605 Freeway in City of Industry early Tuesday morning, killing the vehicle’s driver.
The California Highway Patrol stated that the accident occurred around 12:20 a.m., just north of SR 60. According to CHP, the car veered off the freeway for reasons unknown and landed in the riverbed below. Authorities have yet to release the identity of the man.
The accident prompted the closure of two lanes on the 605 Freeway, which reopened around 4:50 a.m.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department stated there was no indication that another vehicle was involved, and no other injuries were reported.
The cause of the accident was still under investigation.
