LONG BEACH, CA – Authorities have identified the woman killed in a hit-and-run collision early Wednesday morning, according to MyNewsLA.com.
In an update to a previous story, authorities have determined that the deceased woman was Stacey Finlay, 42.
Finlay, who was homeless, was walking on Woodruff Avenue near Willow Street when she was struck by a vehicle around 1:40 a.m. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said in a statement, “The preliminary investigation revealed that the pedestrian was walking in the southbound lanes of Woodruff Avenue when a vehicle, also traveling southbound, collided with her.”
No description was available of the vehicle or motorist involved in the collision.
