SIMI VALLEY, CA – A motorcyclist was killed in a single-vehicle accident in the 4600 block of East Los Angeles Avenue early Saturday morning.
According to the Ventura County Star, the incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. between Angus Ave. and Ralston Street. The motorcyclist was later identified as Libu Babu Jacob, 28.
Witnesses say Jacob was traveling at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his vehicle. He then swerved off the road and collided with the arm of a railroad crossing pole. Police pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Simi Vally PD’s investigation into the accident shut down a portion of East Los Angeles Avenue for several hours, but has since been reopened.
