LANCASTER, CA — A Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputy and a juvenile civilian driver sustained minor injuries when their vehicles collided in Lancaster Friday evening.
The incident occurred at 5:08 p.m. at the intersection of Challenger Way and Avenue K. According to the Antelope Valley Press, the deputy was traveling east on Avenue K when he attempted to turn left against traffic and struck a mid-size sedan driven by a female minor.
Both the deputy and female driver were injured in the accident, but neither injury was considered life-threatening. The Los Angeles Fire department treated the Deputy for his injuries at the scene while the other driver declined treatment.
