SANTA ANA, CA – California Highway Patrol released the identity of one of the victims of a crash Saturday that occurred along a Santa Ana freeway off-ramp that killed two people north of Paramount Boulevard.
Aide Bustamante, 32, of Huntington Beach was killed when a Fiat 500, allegedly operated by Cash Rencanzone, rear-ended the the Nissan Sentra in which she was riding. Bustamente and the driver—who has not yet been identified—careened off the road and struck a tree, killing them both.
Rencanzone attempted to escape on foot but was run down by a witness. A nearby motorist’s dashcam was able to capture the incident, giving police good cause to believe Rencanzone was at fault.
