SAN DIEGO, CA — According to a report from NBC San Diego, a fatal head-on collision left two people dead and one severely injured yesterday, June 10. The accident occurred at noon on Mussey Grade Road, just south of Mahogany Ranch Road in the Ramona district of San Diego.
The Cal Fire department confirmed that a 56-year old woman somehow lost control of her 2016 Ford Focus, veering into oncoming traffic. Her car collided head-on with a 2017 Subaru Impreza. Both the driver of the Ford and a male passenger of the Subaru died at the scene. The female driver of the Subaru was airlifted to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido.
At this time, Cal Fire cannot confirm whether alcohol was a factor in the accident as this is still an ongoing investigation.
