Hit-and-run injures man near Runyon Canyon

HOLLYWOOD, CA – A driver struck a man on Saturday afternoon in the Hollywood Hills and did not stop to help, reports Canyon News.

The hit-and-run occurred around 12:15 p.m. Saturday, June 27. A 60-year-old man was seriously injured when a car struck him while he was walking down Mulholland Drive. The driver did not stop to render aid, which is required by law. The injured pedestrian was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Reports state that the suspect was driving a 2019 BMW M5 and was traveling on the wrong side of the road in the westbound lanes. The driver is described as a white male between the ages of 20 and 35 and his car will have significant damage to the windshield.

Officers are investigating the accident and have asked the public’s help in identifying the driver. This is an ongoing event and more information will be provided as it becomes available.
