REDONDO BEACH, CA – A woman was killed after the car she was traveling in collided with a light pole, reports Patch News.
The crash occurred at 12:28 a.m. A Dodge Charger crashed into a light pole on the corner of 190th Street and Crenshaw Boulevard. It is unknown what caused the Charger to jump the median and connect with the pole.
Five people were in the car at the time of the collision. A female passenger died from her injuries. The driver and two other passengers were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Officers are investigating the sequence of events leading up to the crash. It is unknown whether alcohol or drugs were factors.
