LONG BEACH, CA – A Long Beach man was struck and killed in a hit and run collision while attempting to stop an individual who recently stole from a liquor store.
According to CBS LA, The incident happened within the intersection of Magnolia Avenue and West Anaheim Street around 10:40 p.m.
The victim hopped onto the hood of the liquor store thief’s vehicle and rode for three blocks before falling off and being struck by another oncoming van. Both vehicles fled in opposite directions.
The man was found deceased in the street upon authorities arrival at the scene. Officials are currently seeking information such as surveillance camera video of the crash or witnesses that may lead to an arrest in this case.
The liquor store thief was driving a four-door sedan, the van was only described as a white utility vehicle.
