THOUSAND OAKS, CA – Officials in Thousand Oaks are investigating the cause of a fiery collision that left two people dead early Sunday morning.
According to ABC 7, the crash occurred shortly after 1:30 a.m. close to the intersection of Westlake Boulevard and Skelton Canyon Circle. Police believe the vehicle left the roadway and careened into a tree within the center median. The vehicle was nearly torn in half as a result of the crash, causing a fire to ensure.
Both individuals inside the car were pronounced dead upon paramedics’ arrival on the scene. Details regarding the cause of the crash are still under investigation.
