LOS ANGELES, CA – LAPD officials are investigating the officers who declined to detain an alleged drunk driver on August 22, according to local media reports.
Police officers pulled over an individual at the intersection of Hillhurst Avenue and Los Feliz Boulevard at about 4 p.m. that afternoon, after he had hit several parked vehicles. A local resident filmed the interaction with her phone, and alleges that the suspect was slurring his words and acting strangely at the time. The officers did not conduct a field sobriety test even though witnesses asked them to.
Further details are unclear at this time, although it does not appear that anyone was injured.
