CASTAIC, CA – A tow truck and a semi-truck colliding in Castaic early yesterday morning caused the death of one person and the minor injury of two others.
According to The Signal Santa Clarita Valley, the crash happened on I-5 near Parker Road, just after midnight, when a Castaic Tow flatbed truck collided with the back of a semi-truck.
The driver of the tow truck, a 63-year-old Ventura man, died at the scene.
The two occupants of the semi-truck received only minor injuries and refused hospital transport.
Authorities did not publicly identify the deceased, pending notification of next-of-kin.
The accident remains under investigation at this time.
