YORBA LINDA, CA – A woman drove into a crowd of people protesting for the Black Lives Matter movement against police brutality in Yorba Linda this weekend, sending two victims to the hospital.
According to ABC News, the accident happened near the parking lot of the public library in Yorba Linda on Saturday night, when counter-protesters clashed with demonstrators for BLM.
The as-of-yet unidentified driver of a white sedan then drove through the crowd of people gathered outside the library and struck two victims.
The victims, who also have yet to be publicly identified, were sent to the hospital for the treatment of non-critical injuries.
After the car struck the victims, a group of people gathered around the driver and chased her before she was able to flee the scene. She was later taken into police custody.
According to reports, the sedan’s front and back windshields were broken.
