MONROVIA, CA – One person was killed and another is being treated for serious injuries following a wrong-way crash on the 210 Freeway in Monrovia. The accident happened at 4:40 a.m. on Sunday when a woman driving a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze drove westbound in the eastbound lanes of the Foothill (210) Freeway and crashed head-on into a 19-year-old man in a 2017 Toyota Tacoma.
The Chevy Cruze flipped over upon impact and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The man was transported to Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena for treatment of serious injuries. The California Highway Patrol is still investigating the crash and it is not yet known whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident.
