(VISTA, APRIL 2020) — A car hit a pedestrian in Vista Wednesday evening, causing critical injuries, NBC San Diego reports.
The 59-year-old man was crossing Civic Center Drive at South Santa Fe Avenue when a car travelling southbound struck him. Witnesses reported the accident at 8:41 p.m. Then, authorities took the victim to Palomar Medical Center.
The 31-year-old driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Police do not suspect that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
