LOS ANGELES, CA – The Santa Clarita Valley Signal reports that all lanes of Highway 14 had to be shut down yesterday afternoon due to spilled gravel. A semi-truck spilled gravel all down the highway for an unknown duration of time. California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert for the southbound portion of Highway 14, south of Vasquez Rocks at 1:20 p.m.
Once the lanes were closed, road sweepers came on to the scene for quick cleanup. As far as we know at this time, no accidents have been reported due to the gravel spillage.
