GARDEN GROVE, CA – An intoxicated driver in a 2017 Honda hit the back of a 59-year-old woman’s car. The force of the impact caused the woman’s car to lurch forward and hit the vehicle in front of her. According to KTLA 5, the accident occurred at approximately 1:30 p.m. on April 15th near Chapman Avenue and Euclid Street.
The 59-year-old woman was rushed to the University of California Irvine Medical Center for treatment, but she died shortly after her arrival. The Honda driver who caused the accident was also taken to the hospital for severe injuries. The driver and passenger in the third vehicle were uninjured. Police officers plan to arrest the Honda driver on intoxicated driving charges once he is released from the hospital
