LOS ANGELES, CA – Los Angeles Police officers encountered an armed man on the scene of a car crash in South LA. US News reports that officers were responding to a multiple-vehicle crash, which occurred at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22. The man at the scene was carrying a folding-edge knife, which prompted the police to shoot him.
The armed man died on the scene after being shot. At this time, police officers have not released any information about the events which led to the shooting. Two people involved in the car crash were taken to the hospital for treatment. However, the police believe their injuries are minor and not life-threatening.
