LOS ANGELES, CA – An SUV, a sedan, and a box truck collided at approximately 5:30 a.m. on Interstate 405 South near Getty Center Drive. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the SUV’s driver was walking near the vehicle after the accident, but the CHP called for an ambulance for the other drivers involved. Police on the scene have not released any additional information about the type or severity of the drivers’ injuries.
The three cars blocked the HOV lanes on the highway for several hours after the accident. CHP officers temporarily stopped all traffic on I-405 south, while they cleared the roadway and towed the cars off the road.
