SANTA CLARITA, CA – Police officers detained a man who was fleeing the scene of a car crash, according to The Signal. The driver crashed his car at the intersection of Golden Valley Road and Centre Point Parkway on Tuesday, April 28, at approximately 7:45 p.m. The man lost control of his vehicle and the car flipped over onto the street. After the accident, the man ran from his vehicle towards the Sam’s Club on Carl Boyer Drive.
The Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Department found the man behind the Sam’s Club, where they stopped him at gun point. Police officers believe the driver ran from the crash because he had several warrants. No other cars were involved in the accident, but the driver who fled sustained minor injuries in the accident. The Los Angeles County Fire Department treated the man’s injuries on the scene before he was taken into police custody.
