LOS ANGELES, CA – A female driver was speeding on the 14 Freeway near Via Princessa when she lost control and the vehicle flipped over at least four times and landed on its roof. The accident occurred at 1:55 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28, according to KHTS. In an initial report on the accident, police officers believed the driver had been drinking at the time of the accident. Officers now suspect that speeding was the primary cause of the accident, and the driver was not intoxicated.
The driver and a male passenger escaped the vehicle after the accident, but the woman sustained significant injuries. Police officers transported the driver to a local driver for treatment. The passenger in the vehicle initially appeared uninjured, according to police on the scene. However, at 2:30 p.m. police also transported the passenger to the hospital to treat his injuries. The police have not released any more information about the driver’s or passenger’s condition at this time.
