BEVERLY HILLS, CA – A 20-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday after he crashed his SUV into a tree in Beverly Hills due to intoxicated driving.
Elias Misael Rubio Lemus crashed his white Ford SUV into a tree on North Rodeo Drive. According to Canyon News, the accident occurred at approximately 5:30 on May 5.
The force of the crash into the tree caused the car to roll over. Officials on the scene reported that the vehicle sustained extreme front-end damage and the roof of the car split open.
Lemus sustained no serious injuries in the accident, and he walked away from the car shortly after the accident occurred. There were no other passengers in the car at the time of the crash.
The Beverly Hills Police Department found Lemus attempting to leave the scene of the accident. They detained the driver, and he is likely facing charges for driving while intoxicated.
