26-year-old dies in Atlantic Avenue crash

LONG BEACH, CA – Christopher L. Goldman, 26, died on Tuesday morning after a vehicle crashed into the side of his car.

Goldman was driving near Atlantic Avenue and 20th Street at approximately 9:55 a.m. on May 5 when the crash occurred. According to the Press-Telegram, Goldman was making a left turn onto northbound Atlantic Avenue, when another vehicle in the southbound lanes hit the broad side of his car.

Paramedics on the scene report that Goldman was trapped in his car after the accident. Officials rushed to remove Goldman from the vehicle and treat his critical injuries. Despite medical aid, Goldman died at the scene of the accident.

The 42-year-old driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene to assist police in their investigation. Officers do not believe the driver was intoxicated at the time of the incident.
