SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA. – A truck crashed into the 4 Cats Cafe in the Los Padres Inn on Monterey Street at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
According to The Mustang News, the driver was reportedly intoxicated at the time of the crash and was booked into the county jail for driving under the influence. Eyewitnesses say the driver was traveling at about 40-50 miles per hour when his vehicle struck the building.
The collision caused a gas leak that was repaired by the San Luis Obispo Fire Department before anyone was harmed. Southern California Gas continues to monitor the gas situation at the collision site.
