PACOIMA, CA – A pedestrian was killed when he was hit by a vehicle in Pacoima on Friday evening, the Los Angeles Daily News reports. The unidentified vehicle fled the scene without stopping.
The 54-year-old pedestrian was struck by a motorist around 9:30 p.m. in an alley located east of Remick Avenue. According to Officer Resario Cervantes of the LAPD, The driver of the vehicle subsequently sped off, leaving the scene without assisting the victim or notifying authorities.
Police pronounced the victim dead at the scene; his name was being withheld until relatives are properly notified. LAPD is offering a reward to anyone that may be able to offer information on the driver in this incident.
