LOS ANGELES, CA – A man crashed into another vehicle while fleeing from a hit-and-run accident on the 101 Freeway on Friday morning, KTLA reports.
The hit-and-run accident occurred around 7:45 a.m. on the 101 Freeway. The victim of the crash flagged down a sheriff’s deputy after the 24-year-old driver of a white Lexus failed to stop and exchange information with them.
The white Lexus fled down Benton Way into the Westlake district, evading the police. On Temple Street, the driver of the Lexus lost control of the vehicle after hitting a dip in the pavement and crashed into the car in front of them. The driver was ejected when the Lexus rolled and caught fire.
The Los Angeles Fire Department extinguished the car fire and the driver was taken to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The driver of the car that was hit on Temple Street sustained only minor injuries.
