Pedestrian identified in fatal Friday crash in Orange County

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA – A pedestrian was found with extensive injuries late Friday evening, reports My News LA.

Authorities were responded to reports of an injured individual at the corner of Warner Avenue and Bolsa Chica Street at 11:05 p.m. Friday. They found a man suffering from significant injuries, and later identified him as 54-year-old David Stame.

Through the course of the early investigation, officers discovered that the 66-year-old driver of a Hyundai Elantra had struck Stame.

An ambulance was called to the scene and transported Stame to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The crash is still under investigation but preliminary findings suggest that alcohol and drugs were not a factor
