STUDIO CITY, CA – A woman was struck by a train on the Red Line Saturday, reports Canyon News.
The Los Angeles Fire Department received reports of the accident at 3:52 p.m. Saturday. Authorities found a woman had been hit by a train near Universal City and Studio City station.
Officials had to wait for power to be cut to the station and had to move the train before they could reach the woman. It took about thirty minutes. She was later taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
The fire department reported there may be delays at the station as the equipment was powered up and tested. The station was back in normal service by the end of the day. The accident is still under investigation and more information will be provided as it becomes available.
