BURBANK, CA – A woman was struck while walking near the Burbank airport late Wednesday evening, reports CBS Los Angeles.
A 50-year-old woman was walking along the 7300 block San Fernando Boulevard around 9:10 p.m. The suspect was driving along the same road and hit her from behind. The driver sped away from the scene without stopping.
The woman was transported to the hospital in critical condition. She required surgery and officers reported her condition was still critical.
Officers are investigating the collision and more information will should become available.
