LOS ANGELES, CA – Officers were led on a car chase on Sunday evening around 7:55 p.m., reported NBC Los Angeles.
It is unknown what started the police chase but officers were led through Pasadena and into Alhambra. A news chopper was used to get a video of the driver running through stoplights and stop signs. Some times the driver would stop at stop signs and traffic signals.
The driver stopped, which made officers believe he was trying to surrender. However, the car rolled backward almost hitting officers and cruisers. The car stopped rolling when it crashed into a curb. The driver was taken into custody without further incident.
Officers are investigating the sequence of events leading up to the chase and whether the driver had been under the influence.
