SANTA MONICA, CA – California Highway Patrol took one suspect into custody following a high-speed chase involving a stolen car Friday night.
According to KHTS, 35-year-old Gregory Paris Jr. of Newhall was spotted in Inglewood driving a Subaru Forester which he stole from a Santa Monica dealership at about 6:00 p.m.
The pursuit was suspended when police noticed the driver driving recklessly. However, it was later picked up by CHP along the eastbound 118 freeway.
Paris pulled into a gas station near Castaic Road at 9:15 p.m. Officials took him into custody on charges of evading police in a reckless manner as well as possession of a stolen vehicle, both felony offenses.
