Bicyclist identified in fatal Long Beach hit-and-run

LONG BEACH, CA – Law enforcement officials in Long Beach are searching for the suspect in a deadly hit-and-run that killed a bicyclist Sunday morning.

According to The Signal Tribune, the incident happened around 3:30 a.m. along Orange Avenue near the intersection with Del Amo Boulevard.

30-year-old Dannon Santiago of Long Beach was struck and killed while riding a bicycle in the southbound lanes of Orange Avenue.

The driver involved in the crash failed to stop and render assistance to the bicyclist. Police are still searching for the suspect as of Wednesday evening.
