SIMI VALLEY, CA – Police arrested a man yesterday evening after he led them on a car chase from the San Fernando Valley into Simi Valley, ending only when he crashed his stolen vehicle into a light pole.
According to ABC7, the chase started in the LAPD’s Foothill Division, but quickly shifted to the 118 Freeway westbound.
As the high-speed chase moved to the streets of Simi Valley, the suspect’s driving speed reached 100 mph. While driving down Cochran Avenue, the stolen car hit a bump and the driver lost control. The vehicle ran over the sidewalk and crashed into a light pole off Cochran Avenue near Meralda Drive.
Police apprehended the suspect after the crash.
