EAST HEMET, CA – A woman walking to a convenience store in East Hemet was struck and killed by a pickup truck Wednesday night, according to MyNewsLA.
The accident occurred near Fourth Street in the westbound lanes of Highway 74 at about 8:10 p.m., when the victim ran across the highway in an area that was reportedly not very well lit.
The woman, who has not been publicly identified, was on her way to a convenience store when she was struck by a Toyota Tundra. The victim, of East Hemet, died at the scene.
The driver of the pickup was not injured in the accident.
