LONG BEACH, CA – A man suspected of driving while intoxicated is thought to have struck, among other things, four vehicles in hit-and-run crashes in Long Beach last night, according to KTLA.
The accident happened near the intersection of Orange Avenue and 7th Street at about 8:30 p.m. when a 38-year-old man allegedly struck four in-use vehicles, a utility pole, and three vacant cars while intoxicated before fleeing the scene.
At least one of the drivers in the other four vehicles was taken to the hospital with non-critical injuries.
The hit-and-run driver was also taken in for treatment of non-critical wounds. His identity was not made available.
Authorities believe that the driver was under the influence when the accident happened.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident at this time.
