Young man dies in early-morning collision with tree in Koreatown

LOS ANGELES, CA – A young driver died in the Koreatown area early yesterday morning after he collided with a tree, according to MyNewsLA.

The accident happened near the intersection of Olympic Boulevard and Vermont Ave just after 2 a.m. when a driver about 20 years old went off the left side of the roadway.

His vehicle, a Toyota Camry, cut across oncoming lanes of traffic before colliding with a tree off the side of the road.

The victim, who has yet to be publicly identified, died at the scene.

No other injuries were reported from the crash.

Police have not revealed if they believe the victim was under the influence when the accident occurred.

The crash remains under investigation at this time.
